Molly Upton was a quilter in the 1970's, one who shunned the traditional designs that were becoming popular as the Great American Quilt Revival began. I was unaware of her work until QuiltCon registration last year. She committed suicide at the age of 23, but she managed to create 27 amazing works of art in just a few years. Her use of fabric, pattern, and color is amazing. I can only wonder what she would have produced had she lived a full life. I'm so glad I got to see these quilts in person.
