Beeswax Thread Conditioners and a Big Sale

I’ve added some new beeswax thread conditioners to my Etsy shop: KristinShieldsArt. Right before I broke my wrist I had a plan to use up several pounds of candle wax to give as gifts so we wouldn’t have to move it. I did make the candles with 10 pounds of soy wax the day before I broke my wrist, but the beeswax didn’t get used. Since then I decided to try my hand at these little thread waxers made with 100% cosmetic grade beeswax. I’ve had trouble trying to make beeswax candles. Getting the right container/wax/wick combo is tricky with beeswax so I thought I’d look for other uses. These don’t use much wax, so I still have more and will give some beeswax ornaments a try soon. Anyhow, these are now in the shop. They make great little gifts for all your stitching friends. Keep reading for more important shop info below.

I’ve also decided to consolidate my shops back to one so you’ll find everything for sale on Etsy at KristinShieldsArt. The handmade bags have really dwindled since I haven’t been able to make more, so having them in the other shop made more sense. After I move I’ll re-evaluate the shop situation, but for now this works best.

Lastly, and most importantly, every item in the shop is on sale right now at a 20% discount. I plan to increase the discount as the month goes on for most items (this is probably the highest discount for quilts though). The last day to order before the holidays is December 5. The shop will close until after the move, probably re-opening sometime in February.
