Holiday Greetings! It’s been far too long since I posted here about my Etsy shop. I continue to update the shop frequently. These days it’s mainly handmade journals that I’m selling. I recently removed all the quilts and other textiles except for two bags that are still available (click here). I also still have greeting cards and postcards in the shop (click here), but I don’t plan to restock them as they run out. Please do see what’s available if you think you might want any textile art greeting cards in the future. In the new year I will be offering new bags as time allows. I will post here with any updates on handmade bags. Please keep reading to learn more about the various types of journals I am offering.
In the meantime I thought I’d remind you that I have lots of handmade journals and sketchbooks in the shop. I’ve recently created several new Christmas journals and one Christmas Card Holder which can hold 20-40 cards comfortably and even more if you don’t mind stuffing the pockets. Click here to see the Christmas section of my shop. The Christmas Card Holder seen above is made from a vintage Little Golden Book and has 20 pocket pages. It’s decorated throughout. I’ve made several of these for myself and I just love how festive they are filled with your most special Christmas cards and letters. You could have one for each year’s cards or just put your most precious cards in until it’s filled. It can come out every year for decoration as well. It could even be used as a Christmas journal if you add notepaper to the pockets for your journaling.
Also in the shop are these Christmas Card Mini Journals. Each is made with an upcycled card front. The inside has 20 pages and there’s some decoration to get you started. The spine has a wonderfully festive ribbon, bead, bell and charm dangle just to make them even cheerier. These are perfect for those new to journaling and for stocking stuffers. So cute!
The Christmas Ornament Mini Journal was an experiment for me this year. I only made two of them and one has sold. This one is still available. It’s a tiny journal that you can hang on your tree. So sweet!
I’ve been having so much fun making Christmas journals for the past month and half, but before that I made a lot of everyday journals in various themes. Click here to see the Everyday Journals. The shop has a lot to choose from, including these beautiful Fairy Tale Journals above. They have book pages from a really beautiful children’s book with the stories of Thumbelina and The Ugly Duckling.
Little Golden Book Journals are one of the most fun styles to make. They have beautiful covers and include at least some of the book pages. Sometimes the whole story is available inside to read. There a few in the shop including Tootle and The Make Believe Parade. The Make Believe Parade is actually a Wonder Book, but made in the same style as the Little Golden Book Journals. The theme of that one is a Rainy Day Journal, inspired by the cover image.
In addition to the journals in my shop there are also several sketchbooks including a whole selection of these mini accordion style sketchbooks with cut down Little Golden Book covers (see below). They have the cutest illustrations and plain paper inside for drawing. There are several different ones to choose from and they are small enough that they are perfect for a pocket or purse as well as child friendly. They would be great stocking stuffers too!
I plan to take orders and continue shipping through the end of the month, but of course, shipping times are sometimes delayed due to volume of packages and weather issues. If you are interested in anything in my shop as a holiday gift please order as soon as possible to avoid getting your package late. Depending on when the order comes in I ship same day or the next day. I strive to ship as soon as possible. I hope even if a package arrives late it will still delight you as it’s my aim to provide cheerful and creative handmade goods. If you’ve read this far I thank you for being here and taking an interest in my work. Have a wonderful holiday season!
