machine pieced and quilted
I finally finished this one. The last time I showed it, on Instagram I think, I said it was done after the third triangle section. Then it sat in my studio and stared at me for a few weeks. I hoped it was done, but it was telling me it wasn't quite finished yet. It needed one more skinny log cabin border. I finished that and did some very simple machine quilting last week. I love it now! I'm so glad I added that last border and I happen to think the purple binding is the icing on the cake.
The title comes from the place where this whole thing started. Medomak Retreat Center, In Washington, Maine, was the home for the Slow Stitching Retreat organized by Samantha Lindgren of A Gathering of Stitches. The class was Stitching Small with Chawne Kimber and it was magic! Chawne is so inspirational in whatever she does. I look forward to stitching small again!
