Sometimes you've got to sew quickly and a table runner certainly fits the bill. Upon listing our house a few weeks ago it was suggested that a new table runner would be just the thing to refresh the room. I already have one that is similar, but needed it on the sofa table, so this one was designed specifically for the dining table.
It was finished so quickly I didn't even think to get photos in progress. the fabric is a mix of shot cottons, regular solids and a couple of favorite Kaffe Fassett prints.
It is slightly narrower than normal, just the right size to allow our placemats to fit perfectly around it. Indian summer is happening this week after a cold, blustery and rainy few days. What is it like where you are?
