Ann Wood Crow

Ann Wood’s Crow pattern is just as wonderful as the Songbird (see my previous post). This one is a bit more involved, but also has all the photo references. While these creatures take time to make, they are not difficult if you just follow along with each step. Mine has some interesting cotton fabrics including a silver metallic print on its body, Japanese indigo on the wings, and a batik with some blue and purple on the wings and tail. I used a marvelously soft black silk velvet for his head which makes you want to pet him. This bird is significantly bigger than the songbird so it will take a lot more stuffing. I’ve seen various other species made from this pattern from different corvids to woodpeckers. Get the crow pattern here: click here.
