New Junk Journals in the Shop

Happy Spring my friends! We’ve had everything from 89 degrees in the middle of April, to actual April showers (downpour, really) today. The flowers are popping up all over and I think everyone is in the mood for spring and the warmer weather to come. If you are still buried in snow, or are just settling into autumn weather I hope you are enjoying the season as well.

Today I added these junk journals to my Etsy shop. There are 6 fully embellished Little Golden Book journals as well as 2 unembellished smaller ones. The first 6 come with vintage and new pages and ephemera, the other two have new papers and ephemera. They all come with sweet charm dangles and tie closures.

I have included the original storybook pages in each journal in order so that the story can be read properly. The spines are recreated to accommodate all the pages and have Tyvek and fabric to reinforce them. These are super sweet journals with a happy spring/summer/garden vibe perfect for anyone as a gift or maybe for yourself. They’d also be good for a new baby journal, mother’s journal, garden journal, bunny lover or cat lover journal. They include lots of vintage children’s book illustrations from various books as journal cards, as well as vintage garden/cookbook/music/magazine pages. For all the details you can see the listings in the Etsy shop and for a full flip through of each, check out my YouTube channel.

On a completely different note, I also made a single signature Billie Holiday journal from a music book. The photographs were too lovely to pass up, so the book cover became the inside and outside of the journal cover and some of the music pages plus plain paper are the pages within. Again, you’ll find the listing in my Etsy shop, and the full flip through on my YouTube channel.

That’s all for now. If you haven’t had a look at my YouTube channel yet, you might want to check it out. I show videos of new Etsy listings for all types of products from journals to stitched items. I have also been sharing my travel journals and travel journal kit lately. If that interests you the main channel is here. I have plans to do another travel journal video for another upcoming trip as well as a video about my watercolor palettes.

In the stitching realm I really need to start my next Undercover Quilters book quilt. This year it’s inspired by Broken for You by Stephanie Kallos. I have some fabric and an idea in mind, so I’ll be back with progress on that soon.
