Busy Life

I've been too busy living life to blog about it!  We are gearing up for the holidays and some travel for the next two weeks, plus trying to get Imagination Tribe swaps ready and make gifts for Christmas.  It's been crazy!

Chloe made her very first complete meal for the family last week.  She used recipes from Molly Katzen's cookbooks for kids (Pretend Soup and Honest Pretzels).  This is Spaghetti Pie and a carrot recipe I can't remember the name of.  Yum!

She and Ryan then proceeded to make a chocolate cake recipe from one of the cookbooks.  Again, it was delicious!  The greatest part was that I didn't have to do a thing!

Chloe has really enjoyed watching the Food Network for the past year and I wondered when she would take an interest in actually cooking.  She does really like to "design" food as you might remember from her wonderful cakes.  I found another example of that when I downloaded these photos today!

Meanwhile, this table, which was only intended to come out for the Halloween party, somehow stayed inside and has been recruited for ATC's and other art projects.  I know I'll have to put it away eventually, but right now it's so cool to have an art table right by the kitchen.

ATC's are all over the place here.  Here's some photos of some I took a couple of weeks ago.  Lots more have been made since then.  I made all these.  I really need to get some photos of Chloe's.

We've also had a couple of ATC make and trade days with our COOL friends at the library.  Look at all these beauties!  I'm so glad we could share the fun with our friends.

We got our first snow the other day and the kids couldn't resist a romp out in it though it was after dark.  They are hoping for lots of snow this winter so they can get out on their snowboards!

Chloe has made a lot of progress on her NaNoWriMo novel.  She's over 33K- Yay!  She works on it all the time and is having a lot of fun with it.  She loves to talk about it at night in the hottub.  She's hoping to get it done before we leave on the trip, but that would be a monumental undertaking.  We'll see!
