Quilting Frenzy

I've spent the last few days working like crazy to get these two quilts with deadlines done.  I took the Piney Woods quilt in to the machine quilter yesterday and promptly came home to continue working on the challenge quilt.  I'm not sure if I'll be able to get the challenge quilt done in time to send it to Keepsake Quilting.  It's really coming out nice though.  I'm doing some applique on the border, then I need to add a few touches to the interior and get it ready for hand quilting.  It's only 30" square, but I need to do extensive quilting and embellishment so it will take a while.

Meanwhile, Chloe and I are going to Sacramento next Thursday for 5 days.  We are going to a homeschooling conference and will be seeing lots of friends so I don't expect to get a whole lot of knitting done.  Maybe a little in the sessions.

Tomorrow we are going to my Mom and Dad's for a bbq with some of my Dad's Ride Across America friends who are in town.  Then we are going to see Alison Krauss and Union Station in concert.  This is a big deal because while Mark and I have been big fans for years and have seen them in concert years ago, Chloe has just discovered this band and listens to their albums quite a lot.  She is excited to see them in person.
