Today is my Dad's 64th birthday! We had a nice afternoon with him and my Mom and celebrated not only his birthday, but the (almost) end of his bike ride across America. Yes, he actually rode his bike across the country, more than 4000 miles! He has wanted to do this for years and I'm so proud of him for finally making his goal. Since he lives in Oregon, only about 160 miles from the coast, he is taking a short break at home before finishing the ride. However, it seemed an appropriate time for a celebration. He came home safe and sound and a few pounds lighter with a great cycling tan!
