Pink and green

A couple of weeks ago I started and finished a couple of small items that I haven't gotten around to blogging about.  These are both gifts and were quick knits.  First is a little pink scarf for my niece's 5th birthday.  She was born on September 11, 2001 (in Washington DC!).  It always seems such a miracle that on that dreadful day wonderful things did happen.  I hear she likes pink and she loves to dress up, so this should provide some fun.

Secondly, I made this little moebius bowl for my One Skein Secret Pal.  It's the final package and I'll be mailing it off soon.  I never actually did buy the One Skein book, though I have looked at it and liked the felted bowl pattern.  I just keep coming back to Cat Bordhi's designs.  I could probably knit them in my sleep since this must be at least the 10th one I've made.  It only takes a few hours to make and they are such lovely gifts.  This one is made with 1 skein of Cascade Pastaza (50% llama, 50% wool).

By the way, my room as a kid was pink and green and I loved it!  I had great big pink flowered wall paper with green accents.  Pink and green together always remind me of my girlhood room!  How 70's is that!
