QuiltCon 2016 :: 4 :: Gwen Marston

Gwen's QuiltCon exhibit was truly special.  I heard so many comments about how wonderful the quilts are and it's good for so many people to see them in person who might not have had the chance otherwise.  Although I've seen them all before, I was so impressed by how they were displayed.  Enjoy!

On Friday Gwen asked some of the Beaver Island Quilt Retreat folks to do a short walk through of this hall with her.  It was nice to hear about the quilts from her point of view.

I think the one above is my favorite in her exhibit, though it's hard to choose!

Gwenny's Woodpile by Karen Duling

Gwenny's Woodpile was made by Karen Duling after a visit to Gwen's house in Michigan.  It is featured in Free Range Triangle Quilts and it's one of my favorites in the book.

Tranquility was started in a class with Gwen last fall, so she was happy to see it finished!

Next time I'll post about Molly Upton!
