Weekend Away

We took our new travel trailer out for the weekend to Paulina Lake.  It was really cold as you can see in this first photo.  We spent most of Saturday in the trailer or my parent's motorhome while snow, hail and freezing rain fell outside.  It was a nice time to play games, chat, knit and drink hot chocolate.

The second day warmed up quite a bit.  The sun came out and it was time for a my dad and I to do the 7.5 mile hike around the lake.  It was a beautiful walk with little elevation change.  We even found a geocache while hiking.  We got back just in time to check out and head home.  My parents continued on the rest of their fall RV trip around Oregon for the next month and a half.

I'm still plugging away with the quilts.  I am halfway done with the hand sewing of the binding on the gift quilt.  I also have two more baby quilts ready to quilt and bind.  I will be taking a couple to our guild's community quilt day for donation and will be sending some to Hurricane Katrina victims.  Tomorrow I hope to have enough time to finish binding some of the quilts and get labels on the two gift quilts.  So much to do, so little time!
