This is the last post in the Sisters Quilt Show series for this year! The Undercover Quilters is my own quilting book club. This year our exhibit was inspired by Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. I think this is a great exhibit, though I may be biased.
This book is a great read. The main character is Kya, a self-educated girl who grows up on her own in the marshes of North Carolina. She is a born naturalist who collects feathers, shells, and bird eggs. She knows the ways of the wildlife around her though finds the people in her community confusing. She eventually comes to publish field guides to the flora and fauna of her area even while navigating difficult human relationships.
These quilts all celebrate nature in one way or another and I hope you enjoy them!
