Noel is my final quilt finish for this year. I took the last stitch on the binding a few days before Christmas and have been snuggling under it every night since. This quilt is larger than I usually make. It’s 63x81 inches. Due to its size I had it machine quilted by local long-armer Kim McCray. She did a fantastic job!
I worked on these liberated blocks last winter while I was working on Christmas Tree Farm and Homespun Christmas. It was nice to have all three done for Christmas this year.
This quilt was named for this block which was made from a vintage tea towel I had. The towel is so soft, so well used and loved over the years. I got it at antique shop without knowing what I’d use it for, but its really lovely.
This year we had a quiet Christmas at home. It was nice to have a Zoom Christmas call with my family too. I hope you had a peaceful holiday. Here’s to a better 2021!
