Retreat Happenings

The guild retreat was tons of fun.  We laughed and laughed over the silliest things.  We also made a lot of beautiful quilts.  None of the quilts shown here are mine mostly because I worked on bindings for quilts you've already seen.  Above is Sandie's Radiant Sun in progress.

Janelle's Christopher Hogwood.  This is for a book/quilt group that I belong to.  We read The Good Good Pig and we're making quilts based on the book.  Janelle is a fabulous art quilter who is interpreting a photo of the pig into fabric.  I'll have lots more about that book group soon.

One of the retreaters found these blocks at a thrift store for $2!  I guess it's missing only Wyoming for some reason.  What a find.

Retreaters had the option of doing a mystery quilt and Lani was the first to finish.  I love the fabrics she chose!

Erin and Barb sewed up these precut strips to make a quick quilt for Erin's son.  The print is covered with sock monkeys and totally cute.

Did I say the food was amazing!  It was delicious, scrumptious and beautiful.

And the view!  This was the view right outside our sewing room.  The location is right in the middle of Bend, adjacent to the convention center. Our very nice hotel rooms were just across the foot bridge.  That little cabin has been there for years and unused now.  It was a fabulous weekend and we all can't wait for next year!
