January, February, and March are some of my favorite months just because I tend to hibernate and get a lot of studio time. This year I took advantage of the extra time by spending a lot of it in revisiting old projects and I have a number of finishes to show you. I shared the rice bags yesterday and as I was going through old photos I realized I actually started them way back in 2023! These mushrooms are even older than that though.
These are made with an Ann Wood pattern that is very cleverly done so as to create the lovely formed mushroom cap. Here’s a link if you want to make one yourself: click here. I made a bunch of the caps many years ago when we lived in Bend, but I never finished them. When I got them out in March I managed to finish all these in just a few days. They are so cute! I ended up keeping a couple, sent one to a good mushroom loving friend, and saved a few for Chloe.
The last two have been added to my shop, so if you are interested you should check them out soon. I don’t have plans to make more. Coming up I’ll share some of the other old projects that finally got finished this year. Stay tuned!
