This post has nothing whatsoever to do with knitting or quilting. Today I had my first solo ski day. It was a most beautiful day and quite warm really. That's Broken Top in the background with South Sister to the left. Here's a better picture.
I didn't see any bluebirds, but the gray jays were out in force looking for handouts. I didn't oblige, but they kept trying anyway.
In other news, we are in the midst of packing for a trip of a lifetime Down Under. We're going to spend one week in the Sydney area and three weeks in New Zealand. We are most excited about the wonderful wildlife we'll see. We've made plans for birding in the Capertee Valley, about 3 hours west of Sydney. We plan to do some remote blogging, so stay tuned for tales of our adventures!
