As you probably already know, the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show has been reimagined this year as a virtual event. All the special exhibits have been filmed for showing tomorrow (Saturday, July 1 1) on the quilt show website starting at 9 am Pacific time. The videos should be available to view for at least a couple of months on the website if you can’t view them tomorrow.
If you’d like participate in the show you can do so from anywhere in the world! See the website for details, but essentially you’ll post a photo of your quilt outdoors and add the hashtag #soqs2020. They will be collecting photos to post on their stories.
My small group, The Undercover Quilters, has a special exhibit inspired by A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles. You can read more about this exhibit here. We gathered in May (with masks) at Fika Coffeehouse in Sisters for the filming. About half our members were able to come and I got a few photos behind the scenes. I look forward to seeing how it all looks in the video. Quilter’s names are below their quilt. The last photo shows Cindy being interviewed for part of the video. Enjoy and be sure to see all the other special exhibits on the quilt show website!
PS- I also have a quilt in the Mt Bachelor Quilters’ Guild special exhibit “My Home Town”. You can get a preview of that on the guild website.
