I have been busy making bags these last couple of weeks. The top two are made with the Round Bottom Bag pattern by KZ Stevens. Even though the pattern is designed for hand sewing from start to finish, I used a machine for piecing and bag construction. I added many little hand embroidery details. They also have my hand printed “You are My Sunshine” patches. They are pretty cute if I do say so myself!
I also came up with a simple boxed bottom design to make this larger spring green drawstring bag. It’s big enough for a medium sized yarn project. In addition to these I’ve made a bunch of other drawstring bags I haven’t had time to photograph yet. These three are in the shop now along with three previous square (rice) bags. The others will be added as soon as possible. I’ll post again after they are listed.
My current goal is to use lots of the scraps and remnants I have lying around. Every few years I feel a great urge to clear out the scraps and now’s the time! Be on the lookout for more scrappy patchwork projects from the studio.
