There's always a lot of excitement when the firefighters come to hang quilts at the Stitchin' Post. I got there a little too late to see my own quilt hung, but I did see some of the process.
As you can see, mine didn't get hung on point as Jean had wanted it to, but I still got such a thrill seeing it there at the top of the building!
I got there at about 7:30 am so I had a little bit of time to see what was on the front of the building. These are the Kona Cotton 30th Anniversary Color Quilts. They were made by various famous quilt designers.
At this point I needed to go in to work from 8:00-11:00. I was a little bit worried about missing the best part of the day to see quilts. It ended up working out fine though. Even though Bend got a huge rainstorm, Sisters didn't see a single drop, so I had the whole afternoon to wander around and see quilts. The next two photos are later in the day when the fire trucks were gone. It's pretty impressive isn't it? I never get tired of seeing this little town draped in colorful quilts.
Stay tuned for lots more in the coming days!
