The Applique and Handwork categories are some of my favorites at QuiltCon. I especially love to see beautiful hand applique. The handwork category includes quilts with perfect big stitch quilting and also those with lovely more organic stitches. There's room for all types. I had hoped to get a hand quilted one in the show this year, but it was not to be. I will keep trying! Again, these are in no particular order except for the first three in each category. Not all of the submissions are shown.

Cut & Keep is unusual in that the applique pieces are placed between the quilt top and the batting before quilting. I love the effect!
