I had a shopping spree yesterday at my favorite Portland quilt shop, Cool Cottons. The top two fabrics above were sale fabrics! The other two are Kokka fabrics and more expensive than regular quilt fabrics, but very cool.
I found some favorites including the castles and people on the left, some Kaffe stripes (they have a whole wall of Kaffe Fassett shot cottons and stripes!) and the dots.
More word fabrics, which I can never get enough of. It was a really nice day. Chloe went off on her People to People trip at 3:30 am. I went back to bed and then got up to do my own thing in the city- Happy Knits (wonderful new store!), Cool Cottons, Powell's (found a couple of great embroidery books), Lovejoy Bakery (best beet salad!), Knit Purl (old favorite), and Art Media (got a pack of Pitt pens to try out on fabric). It was a great day! I'll be back in two weeks to pick up Chloe and maybe have a bit more fun in the city.
