Bittersweet Briar is another one of the old UFOs I decided to work on this spring. I started this so long ago I don’t remember how long ago it was. This is a design by Kim Diehl and I do remember that she came to the guild to do a presentation and a class. I didn’t take the class, but was so inspired by the class projects that I saw later that I decided to start my own, with a different color palette than any I’ve seen. I really enjoyed the applique and it went quickly as I worked on this every evening for a few weeks. This medallion is now finished and awaiting a border. I plan to do something different than the pattern calls for so I hope to work on that sometime soon. Thankfully, all the fabrics I needed had been set aside and I have plenty left to finish it off.
