Well, I missed my blogiversary yesterday. Four years! Who knew it would last this long? Yet, blogging seems to be here for the long term and I'm so glad. I've met so many great people through my blog (online and in person) and I feel so fortunate for that. Whether you've been reading my blog for a long time or just found it recently, I want to thank you for staying around, posting comments and making my life all the richer!
Since a blog post is nothing without photos in my opinion, I thought I'd share a recent finish. This is the biggest of the Fungly quilts I started last year. Lazy Gal Tonya provided this challenge to use our ugly, stale or even nicer fabrics, but in "ugly" combinations to see what would come out. This block is a liberated version of Jacks on Six (and those mixed up corners in the photo below really were done by accident). Here are some previous posts about the Fungly Challenge.
I really love this quilt. I find the colors and combinations exciting. I got a great Kaffe Fassett fabric for the backing and binding that was in the clearance bin, so the back is nearly as exciting as the front.
Now, since it's been so long since I had a blog giveaway, it's time for something fun. Everyone who comments on this post will be in a drawing for a prize. This prize will certainly involve fabric, a goody or two and a surprise of some sort. Life has been so busy lately I haven't had a chance to put together a prize, but I'll be sure to choose something fun. Meanwhile, when I get my photos in order I will be posting Sisters Quilt Show photos. Someday soon, I promise!
I'll close the comments on Friday, July 31 at 8:00 am Pacific time.
