Sisters Quilt Show- Dear Jane

This is Jean Wells' quilt that I saw as a top during the class with her earlier this year.  I think it really came out fantastic.  Just to remind you, this design was developed from the end of a cut piece of wood.  You can see the design inspiration to the right.

The next three quilts were part of a special exhibit called Word Play.  I should have saved the show booklet so I could give you more details.  I think this is a group based in Sunriver that gets a challenge every year and this year it was Word Play.  I do remember that this first one was called Starry Knight.

The next three photos were taken at Beecham's Clock Shop.  There was a special exhibit there for quilts that were made entirely by hand.  I'm not sure if that description fits this flying geese quilt that was outside, but it sure is gorgeous.  I really love the tiny flying geese.

And inside you can see a fantastic Hawaiian quilt and our own Celtic Knots Cathi's Dear Jane to the left.

And a close up.  Isn't it amazing!  Cathi is here from Ireland for the summer to help out her mom and dad.  She's been bringing her DJ all over town, including to our knitting group and she plans to show it in my guild show in a couple of weeks too.

These last four quilts are made with the official Sisters Quilt Show fabric from two years ago.  I was interested in these because I still have a piece of this panel.  I also bought the newest version.  I do that a lot, buy a novelty with no clear idea of how to use it.  I do like having some ideas for inspiration.

Well, I've another busy day tomorrow.  It's been a crazy week. I had knitting group last night (and tomorrow too!), a baseball game the night before, tonight we went to an outdoor showing of Big Night.  Such a great movie and it was at our favorite bakery which had delicious cookies to munch on while watching.  Oh, I'm so tired.  Off to bed!
