The past couple of weeks kept me busy with these three community quilts. Two of the tops were already done (pastel log cabin, field and furrows top), but I also managed to use more scraps to make one more top. All three have been delivered to my guild’s community quilts committee. I find the easiest, most fun and quickest way to use up scraps is the venerable log cabin block. I don’t like precise measuring, so these are all made the liberated way (see Gwen Marston’s books for more info). No, my scraps haven’t been used up, they never will be totally gone, but I have three more piles that I’ve sorted so I can get right to work when I have some more time.
