When I went through the photos from Aukland I was really struck by all the blue- blue clothes, blue skies, blue water. We had a marvelous end to our trip in sunny Aukland. We parked the campervan in our hotel lot and lived a bit of city life for a couple of days.
Our hotel was right down on the waterfront, so we took in a sailing tour aboard the Ted Ashby. It was lovely to sail through the harbor with nary a rumble from the motor.
Chloe tried her hand as a crew member.
We all watched with wonder as several people did the bungy jump from this bridge. Here the kids are watching intently for the next one.
The other main event was a trip up the Sky Tower.
These plexiglass walkways were rather unnerving for us adults. The kids got right on them and just laughed at us as we gingerly took a few steps.
Views were spectacular!
We timed our visit well. Just as the sun started to go down, we went to the Tower Cafe for hot chocolates. It was a good time to reflect on the amazing time we'd had Down Under. I don't think we'll ever be the same again. I can't wait to go back...
