The block contest was the most amazing I've seen yet! Maybe it was the colors of the fabrics, or that they were solids that really spoke to me, but I really want to win a top this year. There were quite a few liberated blocks this time too.

And the winner is, Candy Woods. Candy is a member of my guild and the one who thought up our devilishly difficult challenge this year! Aren't those some sweet little log cabin posies?
And here's one of last year's tops all finished. My block is in row 2, second one from the left. Edited to add: I've just been alerted that my sister's block is the one above mine. I can't believe I didn't notice that before! How cool that they are in the same quilt.
I haven't heard whether the winners of this year's tops have been chosen yet. Cross your fingers for me!
