LIFE is very very GOOD!

Last weekend we were at the LIFE is Good Unschooling Conference in Corvallis, OR.  It was so nice to see old friends and to make new ones.  The kids really had a good time and hated to leave.  With all the travel lately, they are getting very used to it and asking when the next road trip will be!

One of the great things about these conferences is seeing all ages playing together and having a great time.  The game room was busy at just about all hours.

Here's Ryan wearing the LIFE is Good t-shirt which Chloe helped design.  It's my favorite one so far and we've got lots of homeschooling/unschooling t-shirts.

Chloe and I hosted the Artist Trading Card funshop and it was tons of fun!  Lots of kids and adults got into making their treasures and we had a separate ATC trade on the last day.

Robyn and Chloe make a trade.

Every evening there was something fun going on and my kids' favorite was the pajama party on Friday night.  Most everyone wore their jammies and there were lots of games including anyone who wanted to join in.  The game of duck, duck, goose was particularly fun to watch as teens and toddlers chased each other around!

Ryan and Andrew enjoy the commotion from the stage.

When the balloon swords came out the party really took off!

Chloe had a great time playing Dance, Dance Revolution in the game room.

Chloe spent most of the next day selling her wares in the UNtrepreneurial Fair.  She made $100 and was very pleased.  Her knitted animals that she gave names to, and had stories for, were a big hit.

The talent show on Saturday night was a big hit.  I missed a lot of it because Ryan wanted to swim with Andrew in the pool, but I did get out to see Chloe perform.  She did tricks with her Flip n' Flyers to the sounds of Crocodile Rock.

On Sunday Chloe and I joined in the henna funshop which was really cool.  This was our first time using henna.  Mine is faded already, but Chloe's is still going strong.  Here she's making a design for Elli.

This is the ATC trade at the end of the day on Sunday.  It's always fun to trade in person and we got some lovely additions to our collections.

On Sunday night the highlight was the Barefoot Boogie.  It took a while for Ryan to join in, but once he did he danced like crazy and we had a great time.

It was a wonderful weekend and we look forward to the next one!  Chloe is already making stuff to sell next time and Ryan looks forward to playing with the "gang" again.  Tomorrow I"ll post about our trip to the AC Gibert Discovery Village which was a very nice ending to the trip.
