We interrupt this travelogue for a bit of quilt news! Today I got a lovely surprise when a friend emailed me to say that Smarter Than the Average Bird, for the Quilter's Alliance "Animals We Love" contest, was in the new issue of Quilting Arts. I was heading to the Stitchin' Post anyway for the class preview party and got my own copy. That's cool, I had no idea they would be published!
