This eye-popping quilt is another one that I have been handquilting this summer. I was so pleased to stick with it and get it finished in a reasonable amount of time. You may remember that these blocks were made in the Liberated Basket class I taught last April. My main goal was to show several different styles of baskets.
This one with the interior triangles came about when I demonstrated the triangles and then wanted to come up with a way to use them. That's one of my favorites!
The other challenge I made for myself was that I would use only these 5 fabrics. I could have used three (the print, the green and the red), but it was hard to stick with only one red. You know I love scrappy, so this is very different for me.
The sewing print was such fun to work with! It's something I had stashed away several years ago with no plan. This was the perfect use for it.
